VIDEO RECIPE - Turkey Burgers
Our next recipe is something a little different for this time of the year but a really low calorie option and very tasty too! >> TURKEY BURGERS <<
Ingredients:
750g / 26.5 oz turkey mince / ground turkey 45g / 1.5 oz carrot, very finely chopped 45g / 1.5 oz white onion, very finely chopped 40g / 1/2 cup fresh coconut, grated (or use desiccated) 2 tsps garlic, finely chopped 1 tsp sea salt 1 tsp curry powder 2 tsps butter / coconut oil Makes 6 burgers Per burger: 193 calories 3g carbs 9g fat 25g protein In a large bowl, break up the mince with a spoon. Mix in the remaining ingredients (except the butter / coconut oil) until thoroughly combined. Divide the mixture into 6. Shape into patties. Melt the butter or oil in a frying pan and cook for 15-20 minutes, turning halfway. Test the burger is cooked by inserting a skewer into the center. The juices will run clear when cooked. Store the burgers in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Serving suggestion: With a Greek salad or vegetable stir fry. Enjoy!
